Cabbage is such
vegetable which is less than 20 calories per half cup cooked. The consumption
of cabbage also decreases the risk of obesity, diabetes and heart disease. In
this post I am sharing the recipe of cabbage soup which gives lot of health
benefit. I personally do not like the smell of cabbage specially while boiling
them in water so I was thinking how this gonna taste. But this soup tasted so
heavenly that my friends and family members couldn't even recognize that it was
made of cabbage. So guys do try this recipe and let me know your comments.

Preparations :
- In a skillet add shredded cabbage, finely chopped onion, mint leaves, cashew nut and garlic pods. Boil these ingredients by adding milk and half portion of water.
- The cabbage should not overcook and its color should not change. Once it is cooked turn off the flame and allow it to cool.
- Using a blender blend the cooked cabbage to a smooth paste and keep aside.
- Meanwhile in a small pan dry roast star anise, cinnamon, cloves and fennel seeds and prepare a fine powder of it.
- Heat a wide pan in a medium flame and transfer the blended cabbage paste in it. Add water if required to till you get a consistency of the soup.
- Bring one boil and add powdered spices, saute well. Add salt and pepper powder and take another boil.
- In a small pan add a spoon of oil and slightly roast few chopped cabbage.
- Remove pan from the stove and serve in a bowl with the garnish of roasted cabbage pieces.
