Kodubale | Ring Muruku recipe

Kodubale is a delicious snack from the cuisine of Karnataka. It is an oval shaped ring muruku prepared from rice flour, roasted Bengal gram flour and butter. Kodubale is prepared especially on the occasion of Krishna Janmashtami at my home as a naivedyam to lord Krishna.  This is one of my favorite snacks and I love munching it whole day. The name of this snack is obtained from its shape. There is variety of recipes in the preparation of dough. But among all I like this recipe which I got from one of my uncle. I am thankful to him for giving this recipe. Paneer Butter Masala

Paneer butter masala is my most favorite dish among vegetarian food for which I always crave about. I always wanted to try restaurant type paneer butter masala and this recipe has made me to stop ordering from restaurants. I even like to eat it plain and I do not know how many of you too like to eat it without any roti’s or rice. While making this particular dish I always use homemade paneer and fresh malai from boiled milk instead of store bought creams. I find it healthier and cost wise it is economical. Do try this recipe and let us know your reviews in comment section. Gulab Jamun from Khoya

Gulab jamun is one of the famous sweet, dessert from Indian cuisine. The origin of this dessert was at the time of mughal courts where the history says that Persian invaders brought this dish to India. Originally this dish is prepared from freshly curdled milk where as now a day we can find variety of instant powder available in market. This has made preparations much easier. This is the recipe of gulab jamun prepared from Mawa/khoya. One has to be sure about the quality of mawa while preparing jamuns. Other than the instant version I have even tried jamuns from bread. You cannot compare the taste of bread gulab jamun with mawa jamuns as gulab jamuns prepared from mawa is always the best. Homemade Paneer

A dish made from Paneer/cottage cheese is one of the most loved dishes among vegetarians. We can see at least one dish made of paneer in Indian weddings and during other occasions. This is one of the best substitutes to chicken for vegans. I always prefer making paneer at home than using the store bought. First reason is I find it healthier than the usual preservative s present in the store bought paneer. The second reason is cost wise it is cheaper to prepare at home. Homemade paneer can be stored up to one week. You can prepare many dishes such as Paneer butter masala, Paneer Manchurian, Paneer tikka, Paneer Rogan josh etc. Prep time           Cook time          Total time 1 hr                     12 min               1 hr 12 min Author: Home Chefs Cooking Recipe type: Main Cuisine: Indian Yield: 200 gms Ingredients: Full fat milk 1 ltr Curd 2 tbsp or as required Vinegar regular 1 tbsp Instructions: 1.In a milk pan add full fat milk an
