Green
Peas Kurma is a coconut based gravy which is served as a side dish for JeeraRice, Ghee Rice, Roti's, Naan, Kulcha, Chapathi, rice etc. This is a South
Indian type gravy which is very easy to prepare. Green Peas Kurma can also be
prepared in North Indian type by adding Garam Masala and various spice powders
instead of coconut.

Preparation ::
- Soak green peas for atleast 8 hours and pressure cook it taking one whistle. If you are using fresh and frozen peas then skip this procedure.
- In a blender add all the ingredients mentioned under "for the masala" and grind to a fine paste adding water.
- Heat a kadai in a medium flame and drizzle oil. When enough heat is received add mustard seeds and curry leaves.
- Also add sliced onions and fry till golden. Add finely chopped tomato and saute in between till they are mushy.
- If this mixture gets too dry add few spoon of water and saute.
- Mix grounded paste and salt to the mixture in the kadai and keep stirring. Let it cook for few minutes.
- Add pre-boiled green peas and mix well. Add one cup of water and close the lid.
- Cook until green peas are well combined with masala and serve hot with roti's , chapathi or rice items.
