This recipe is of one of the type of namkeen snack prepared from all
purpose floor and wheat flour. This is quite similar to Shankar Pali or Tukdi
also called as diamond cuts. This snack is very easy to prepare and tasty to
eat. This is one type of snacks that you can prepare on festival occasions especially
on diwali. Also you can prepare in bulk quantity and store them in a air tight
container and munch these crispy namkeens during tea time.

Preparation:
1)Sieve all purpose flour and whole wheat flour together and
keep it in a bowl.
2)Take ¼ cup of water and add asafoetida, red chilli powder,
salt and cooking soda and stir to dissolve completely.
3)Pour this on sieved flour and knead well to make a dough
similar to chapathi dough.
4)Add a 2 tsp of oil to the dough and knead again for few
minutes.
5)Take a small portion of the dough and make a round shaped
balls. Using rolling pin roll the balls to make a thin big circle.
6)Cut the rolled dough into the shape of your like. I have cut
here lengthwise into thin strips.
7)Meanwhile heat oil for deep frying, when the sufficient heat
is received leave the strips into oil and deep fry them until crisp and golden
brown.
8)Remove onto absorbent paper and once it cools store them in
a airtight container.
