- Soak dosa rice in water for half an hour. Wash well and drain.
- Using blender grind drained rice, Chopped jackfruit pod's, grated coconut and jaggery without adding water to a thick paste.
- Place the grounded batter in a bowl. Heat a deep frying pan and pour required amount of oil to fry the dumplings.
- In a bowl add water, dip your hand in it and take a small amount of batter into your hand and give a round shape.
- When the oil is hot leave dumplings one by one and fry them in a low flame. After few minutes flip each dumpling and fry all the side evenly. It will take 10-12 minutes to cook properly.
- When it is crisp and brown remove onto absorbent paper and serve hot with a cup of Tea/Coffee.
Note :
- You can use Semolina instead of dosa rice. If you are using semolina, grind grated coconut, chopped jackfruit pods and jaggery. Place the grounded batter in a bowl and add semolina. Remaining procedure are same mentioned above.
- Adjust the quantity of jaggery as per your taste.
- The reason for applying water to your hand while making dumplings is to avoid stickiness of the batter. You can give shape easilly.
