Preparations :
- Peel off the skin of jackfruit seeds and wash well. Boil in a pressure cooker taking 4 whistles and keep aside.
- Prepare masala for the humman by grinding grated coconut, roasted dry red chillies, salt and tamarind. Add water to make a fine paste. Place the masala in a bowl and add a glass of water in a blender, retain the masala water in a separate bowl.
- Transfer boiled jackfruit seeds into a vessel along with its boiled water and cook in a medium flame.
- Add grounded masala along with retained masala water, let the consistency of humman be thick.
- You have to cook approximately 10-12 minutes in a medium flame. Once cooked remove from the heat.
- Add asafoetida and oil and mix well. You will get a nice aroma of asafoetida which is the main ingredient of this tasty humman.
- Serve hot along with Shevai/ Idli/ Neer Dosa or rice.
