Preparation :
- Boil the eggs, Separate it from its shell and keep aside.
- In a vessel soak rice using water for 20 minutes, wash well and drain the water.
- Heat pressure cooker in a medium flame and add oil. Once it gets heat add cinnamon stick, bay leaf, star anise, cardamom, cloves, black pepper, ginger garlic paste and green chilli (slit into half).
- Saute for a minute, add sliced onion and fry till golden brown.
- Add cumin coriander powder and garam masala powder. If you need a spicy biriyani then add red chilli powder as well.
- Sprinkle finely chopped coriander leaves and mint leaves, saute for two minutes.
- Add rice, turmeric powder, boiled eggs and salt, mix well.
- Drop ghee and pour water till one inch above the mixture.
- Cook these taking one whistle and your biriyani is ready.
- Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot along with vegetable raitha.
