Spiced Chickpea/ Chane Usli




Chane Usli is a konkani breakfast dish prepared from chickpeas. This delicious dish is also good for health. The chickpeas are soaked overnight or for atleast 8 hours and boiled in cooker using water. Instead of throwing the boiled water of chickpea you can prepare Chane Saaru which also contain nutritional value.

2 T Spoon
Salt 
     नमक
As per taste

Preparation ::



  1. Wash chickpea and soak in a water overnight for at least 8 hours.
  2. Boil chickpea's in a cooker taking 5 whistle's.
  3. In a pan add oil. Add Mustard seeds, curry leaves, green chilies.
  4. Add Boiled chickpea(do not add boiled water) and sauté for few minutes.
  5. Add Hing, Salt and coconut. This is very simple to prepare and very tasty to eat.
