Preparation :
- Heat kadai and add water. Once it start boiling add jaggery.
- Keep stirring until it dissolve fully and start forming sticky solution.
- Add grated coconut and saute for few minutes.
- Next will be cardamom powder and ghee, there it goes in to the kadai.
- Mix well and turn off the flame.
- Let it cool for 20 minutes. Add Beaten rice and mix well.
- This sweet is prepared usually on festivals to offer god for "Naivedyam".
- One of the common sweet dish of Udupi and South Canara.
Note:
- While stirring the jaggery mixture be careful regarding the flame. Keep it low.
- When you add beaten rice before cooling, it will become very hard to eat instead of soft.
